I thought Tulsi Gabbard made her lack of character pretty clear over the course of her career. She was for banning AR-15s and then suddenly had an epiphany on the campaign trail about the Second Amendment. Sadly, her time in the military didn't spark that same light bulb when it came to the Article One power to declare war being a power of Congress, and somehow she failed to read the clear text of the War Powers Resolution which contradicts her misguided understanding that the POTUS can decide unilaterally to go to war if he conjures up an "imminent threat." That's not the standard. That's not our law.
Normally Tulsi would be finger in the air opportunist to follow Joe Kent just for political ambition, but I'm sure she knows the tyranny that is coming and that she's helping build for the foreign nation that has conquered us has made such old fashioned calculations no longer useful.

She's trying to be clever and leave herself an escape with this one. She's saying "The American People elected Trump to do what he thinks is best. It is also my duty to assist in what the American People desired. All I did was provide him information."
ReplyDeleteShe carefully and intentionally omits her personal position as to whether there was an imminent threat from Iran so she can later distance herself.
I think you're right about her thought process. If she thinks this will work on Americans, I'm guessing she's wrong. But she may no longer care what Americans think of her as it relates to her ambitions.
