Tony Carr Stops By the Digital Clown Show to Take the Easy Win

Moose, lawyer, similar writing style and jabs.  Turns out it was Tony taking the opportunity to dunk on morons from The Right (TM).  And good on him, he's saying smart things.  Then when somebody from The Left (TM) gets into office and starts engaging policy, well, we'll have to see how smart his words are then and just how into the law he really is, or if he goes back to his usual of claiming that our constitutional rights are not inviolate.  "The law matters, BUT....."

One of the things about being old and experiencing several turn overs between the two fake parties is, you get to experience one group saying the right things when "the other side" is in power, and then watch them say the opposite once their party gets into power.

It's one thing to say the right things, but why do you say them?  Do you believe them, are those principles you actually hold, or do they just make the best talking points currently?

With Tony Carr, his love of words is really only words deep.  He loves words.  Loves to see himself type and hear himself talk.  It's less about the content and substance of what he's saying, which may be true or not, but rather for him the value is that he's the guy who gets to pronounce those words.  He's the Light Bringer, the Thought Leader, and a perk of being in that position is silencing others in the discussion because, after all, he's the Moderator of what is true or not, what is civil and what is just beyond the pale in polite society.  Like a politician, he just wants to be the guy at the podium, the guy in control.  Even when he says things that are true, he's not doing so because he cares about truth, it's just the best way at the time to sound smart.

But maybe he just wanted to post at the Digital Clown Show because Lord Ratner was using a title that is reserved for British subjects like Tony?  Who knows.

At any rate, at least we can enjoy Tony's words for the moment until he has cause to say something different.  Some of "his" words taken from this very blog and recycled over at the Digital Clown Show even, which is quite the feat since Tony doesn't read this blog unless one of his friends points him to it and then and only then will he reluctantly show up to peruse what is written here.

Perhaps this is just a case of great minds thinking alike.  Anyway, Tony never fails to make me giggle.  Words are just a tool to be wielded, but character is immutable.

Carry on.

EDIT:

Hilarious to watch ClearedHot beat his chest with the usual idiot response in such discussions.  "You can't talk about what our nation's military should be doing or why if you haven't been to war, son!"  Always degrading the power of Americans with this fascist garbage argument.  Americans aren't allowed to comment on how the public servants who work for them, and who are funded by them, should operate or what or where they should be operating if they aren't military combat vet, apparently.  So much for civilian control.  So much for public service.  Because until you've done some mundane task like spit out flares or break away from AAA, how could you possibly know about the Constitution and the laws of America and know if you want your government to conduct an idiotic war in Iran, duh?

The fascism that drips from ClearedHot's digital manpleaser is understandable once you realize he's a servant of a foreign nation that occupies America, so of course he doesn't give two shits what Americans think.

But he labors under the illusion that "Moose" is a JAG or something.  I dropped him a line to help clear up his confusion, although the potential dick measuring contest would have been fun to watch.
